I guess it's fine if you plan on staying for 2+ hours. We went to The Pointe at Val Monte looking for a laid back atmosphere on the lake with good food. It was so laid back that it took FOREVER to get anything from the staff. We waited for 15 min at the bar that had 3 other people at it (who already had their drinks) to get two beers. After getting the beers, we went out to the patio for lunch. There were 4 other tables of people. We waited another 30 min for menus to order a meal. When we finally ordered, the meal came quick. It was typical bar food which was what we were looking for, I suppose. After we were finished eating, we waited another 30 min to pay our bill. At about min 25, our waitress literally walked out with her purse so we went inside to ask to pay our bill. Won't be back.
Heard great things about The Pointe in Gunterville. Family and I went to try it out tonight, and was NOT greeted by a friendly staff. Instead everyone looked at us like we were outsiders. We picked a table on the outside patio. Servers looked like they were getting ready to close down the inside, but it wasn't even 8 o'clock on a Saturday evening. Once we sat and finally got a worker to get our outside fan light to come on so that we could see, we were approached by a lady telling us that we could not be there bc of my 2 yr. old son. I asked if this wasn't a restaurant and she responded by telling me that it was a "bar"! The signs showing for the place advertises "restaurant" not "bar". We had no idea! But any place that does not welcome my son will not have our business. Sorry not sorry! Came to Wintzell's instead! Best decision we made!
Pretty good place. Great patio area and good bands. However, went on a Wednesday night just to get out of the house and waited 20 minutes seating at the bar to get serves before I left. Two bartenders were walking around as well as checking their tip jars which were located directly in front of me and still still get serves. Has also been hard to get a drink on the weekends sometimes.
Great atmosphere. The bands are great. The drinks are made perfectly. The staff wants you to have a good time. The best bar in town, hands down.
Beer was COLD! Food was amazing! Definitely recommend the loaded house chips and the Dallas Burger! My mouth is watering again just thinking about them. LOL wait staff there was very friendly and atmosphere was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family.
