There is a certain level of customer service expected in the hospitality business. It is disappointing to see no effort to resolve customer issue. No "sorry for inconvenience" when called. Staff needs some training.
When someone pays to stay at your hotel on a weekday especially at a non-tourist location, they are probably travelling for work. You should not allot rooms so close to the rooms where you are hosting "loud" events.
Great hotel. A little pricey. They are right on the lake with easy access to Lake Guntersville.
Great rooms and service, clean and well maintained. Staff was very helpful. Even has great views (on the lake side of the hotel). Would/will visit again on future trips.
One of the nicer Hampton's I have ever stayed in very nice staff all from front desk housekeeping and breakfast folks lovely view of the lake and nice patio out front with water fall to sit and enjoy the view will definitely be back
I usually have great service at this Hampton Inn. However, surprisingly housekeeping decided to wake us up at 8:30am. When we refused service, housekeeping decided to have a very loud conversation in the hallway right outside our door. I shared this information with the front desk. I am hoping something will be accomplished with this information.
I would have rated it at 3 because I found the room a bit inconvenient than other Hamptons I have stayed in. Also, the room looks old. But I was really disappointed the night there was a music event in the conference room right in front of my room. They played until 9:30 PM I guess. It was acoustic and loud; you enjoy it for a few minutes and then you start waiting for it to stop. I had a long day and I still had work to do and read something before I go to sleep. I called the reception to check if they can lower the music. Expected response was not "Okay sir I will ask them to stop"; expected response was "let me see what I can do". The response I received was "Actually there is an event going on and they will play probably only until 9:00." I said that is fine if it is only until 9 as it was already 8:45 when I called. At 9:15 the music was still going and so I walked towards to my door and looked through the peephole just out of curiosity about whats happening. And I see the double doors of the conference room wide open and someone playing an acoustic guitar right next to these doors. I said to myself "wow". The staff did not even bother to walk there to check how loud it was, because if they would have done that, they could have just closed the doors and would have solved my problem.
